Why Become A BLMS PTSA Member?

When you become a member of the BLMS PTSA you join over 5 million other PTA members nationally in becoming part of a support group to help children, families and schools.  Each year we as a PTSA have grown and it is our continued goal to grow not only in numbers but involvement in our school and community.  Countless volunteer hours were logged during the 2009-10 school year and the following is just a short list of how we as a PTSA were involved in the lives of our children and community:

•Treats for Troops

•Volunteered at Rainbow Assisted Living facility on MLK holiday

•Provided award parties for honor roll students each 9 weeks

•Drug Truck visited campus during Red Ribbon Week

•Purchased e-beams for faculty

•Purchased and planted all trees and plants on campus

•Volunteered in the BLMS clinic

•Assisted BLMS families during times of loss or need

•Provided lunches/dinners for teachers during parent conferences and Teacher Appreciation Week

•Provided speakers for BLMS families to stay abreast of subjects affecting families today

•Sponsored 5K race to promote healthy living

For only $5.00 per member, you can become a part of an active PTSA who gives sacrificially to make BLMS an even greater school each year she is in existence!  Please use the envelope included in this package to turn in your membership.

Also, mark your calendars for September 10th where a $5.00 student membership will gain a BLMS student access to the first ever PTSA Membership Concert featuring local band Young Guns.

Here is what you need to do:  fill out the membership form and return it in a sealed envelope with exact change or a check made payable to BLMS PTSA.  Write your child's name and homeroom teacher's name on the envelope. Once your child's class receives 100% membership, his class will be eligible for a reward.
